The Colorado Cylinder Spruce Stove is ideal for the Kodiak tents with a 5-inch stove jack including the 10x10 model 6173, the 12x12 model 6170, and the 12x16 model 6116. It includes everything but the wood and the match! It includes the stove pipe, the baffled door which acts as the damper to regulate heat flow. It comes with the heat shelf that can go on either side and there is an optional water tank for instant hot water. The handle latch has an extender loop to open and close without needing any special tools. You can open and close the baffle holes to allow more or less airflow to use the right amount of wood for your adventure.
Stove Features:
  • Built to last! – This stove is constructed of heavy 10 and 12 gauge steel so it will hold heat longer, last longer, and keep you warm when it’s freezing outside.
  • No warping – Your stove top is reinforced with 1" x 1" angle iron so it won’t warp while burning high-heat fuel such as coal. The door is also reinforced and the cylinder shape of the stove body will naturally keep it from distorting.
  • More Radiant Heat – Because this stove is made of heavy-duty steel, it will hold onto heat longer and provide more radiant heat unlike lighter gauge sheet metal stoves. This will allow you to heat a larger area and will perform better with colder temperatures.
  • Cook Top – The top of your stove is designed so you have room for a pot or skillet so you can cook a nice hot meal while you’re in the great outdoors.
  • Compact - All of the accessories fit inside the stove for easy storage and transportation.

Q: Will it keep up with heat in the winter time Yurt Tent, 23 ft. x 23 ft. x 137 in. (Diameter 7M)?

A: It should depending on the temperature. However, you might consider the large model often called the Timberline model 4046 - you can search our site for that model. It heats up an are up to 16'x20'. Feel free to contact us with any other questions.

Q: Was this package supposed to include a damper?

A: The Colorado Cylinder Stoves no longer include dampers as the baffles on the front bottom of the stove are more effective in controlling oxygen levels to the stove.

Toasty in the teens
Love it! First test came in late November in northern Wisconsin inside my Kodiak Canvas lodge wall tent for deer hunting season. Temps dropped to upper teens but we were toasty with the stove giving oodles of heat.The trick is not getting it too hot. Briefly started to melt the stove jack when the stove was going full bore with both damper wiRead more about review stating Toasty in the teensde open. Thats a good way to get it going, but you need to close the stove damper to avoid those flames going up the pipe, which can literally get red hot. (Thats too hot.) Still finding balance between stove damper and flu/pipe damper.Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the door and stove damper leak a lot of air. This can mean your wood supply burns down quickly unless you close the flu damper as well. Even then, we went through three bundles of wood each night. Took two refuelings in middle of the night, but we were in light bags and temps were cold. I have bought the gasket kit to make the door close tighter.Pro tip: Make sure the first use is outside. Get it ripping hot to burn off all sorts of treatments/chemicals on the stove and pipe.Sourced: Manufacturer
