Will the Kodiak 7218 fit my truck?

The 7218 is the long bed model. Measure the inside of your bed with the tailgate up — if it measures a full 8 feet, this is your tent. Bed length is what matters, not the model year.

It is built from Hydra-Shield 8.5 oz. 100% cotton duck canvas: watertight, breathable, and quiet in weather. A nylon truck tent flogs itself apart in wind and drips condensation on your bag by morning. Canvas does neither, which is why these tents tend to outlast several nylon ones.

Great in the mountains!

This tent performs magnificently! The canvas insulates well and with a small space heater I could warm the interior within a few minutes while it was 30 outside. Having it in an 8' bed truck allowed for plenty of space. At 6'3" tall I still had to hunch over while inside, but I had plenty of space to sit, eat, and sleep while spending weekends in the mountains.

Excellent quality truck tent

Excellent QUALITY truck tent that is easy to setup in less than 30 minutes. We purchased last summer but wanted to use a few times before reviewing and we can definitely recommend. Everywhere we go other campers want to check it out and they love it - we always recommend your company.

Kodiak customer service

I recently purchased this wonderful tent. Easy 30 minute set up, very pleased. Second time I set it up, the driver's side of my tailgate caused the seam to rip. No problem, one email to Kodiak, they asked for specific pics and info. Within two days they agreed to send me a replacement tent body. Amazing customer service. I will recommend Kodiak to all my friends.

Just what I was looking for.

Great canvas. Great design. No leaks. Steady in high winds. Very functional. Good headroom. Not instant up but not difficult either. Works well with a BakFlip hard folding tonneau cover on an 8' bed. Provides room for a twin size EZ Bed elevated self deploying air mattress with just enough room to spare for easy access to the whole length of the truck bed. The folded tonneau acts as a table/shelf at the cab end with ample storage underneath. Cab pass-thru window works great for running exhaust and intake hoses of the ZeroBreeze Mark 2 portable air conditioner. It fits perfectly on the folded tonneau cover. Most comfortable night's sleep in a tent I have ever had despite heavy rain.

We really enjoyed the tent, it was easy to set up and had lots of room with a eight ft bed. Our first trip was to Carpinteria Beach, It is made well and worth the price. Were planning a trip to Kennedy Meadows in June :))
