Optional Items include the vestibule. The vestibule is an add-on wall that attaches to the exterior awning giving you privacy and shade. Campers often use this in crowded campgrounds where you can get more privacy. It also is a great place to store coolers, camp chairs, and other camping gear. It attaches underneath the front of the awning and extends out to the ground. Two side wings provide additional cover on the sides. It creates a nice space to store gear, put some chairs, or keep a pet. It also adds privacy if the front windows are open. Made with canvas (polyester, denier cloth was the old model). A: There is no difference if you are comparing model 6011 and model 6043. Model 6043 is simply the 10' x 14' version of model 6011. They come with all the same windows, storage bags, storage accessories, and ground tarps.

Q: I'm concerned that the triangular windows on the left and right will let in water. Should I be concerned?

A: You should not be concerned about the triangular windows at all. There is a 2 inch flap that covers the zipper seem keeping it watertight. In other words, having the extra zippers, screen, and seems does not compromise the waterproof technology this tent has.

Q: We often go camping in the cold. In fact, we are very rarely in the heat. Would you recommend a different model with that in mind?

A: You could go with a different model if you don't need all of the ventilation. It would save you money if you went with the basic or the regular deluxe versions models 6044 and model 6014. On this super deluxe tent you are paying for the extra windows, storage accessories, and cinch and strap storage bag.

A: The official colors are olive green and tan. They will not be a perfect match with the tents you purchase several years ago. However, they are still earth tone colors so they should still look great together.

Q: Can I camp with this in the winter? How does it hold up with snow?

A: You can definitely camp with it in the winter, however, it is not designed to hold snow. Snow can be surprisingly heavy and if your tent is unattended you may find it damaged due to excessive weight. Light snow, rain, wind, and the summer sun will not harm the tent-it is designed to withstand those elements.

Q: Do I really need to use all of the camping stakes that it came with? It seems like there are way more than I need.

A: We recommend using all of the stakes-you never know when you are getting get a surprise micro burst or an unusual gust of wind that can damage the tent or your gear had the tent been state down in the first place. It only takes a minute or so longer to use all of the stakes and you will camp with greater confidence that your tent is not going anywhere.

Q: I'm planning to use this all summer long. How does this hold up with weeks and weeks of being a shelter for me?

A: This is not designed to be used all year round. Some customers purchase it for that and especially deluxe camping businesses, but eventually the UV rays of the sun will do their worst. It will last a lifetime if you are using it as the average camper does, but extended use will wear out any tent or shelter. If you do plan on using it all year round it is a good idea to protect the tent by giving it shade by using an awning, tarp, or other means. Just to emphasize-these are not designed to be used all season-every day. Under such circumstances the warranty is void.

A: They are very similar. The Kodiak does have some advantages such as the zippers, the floors, and the tent stakes just to name a few. The overall structure and assembly is very comparable between the two.

A: The warranty claim is not done through us. If you purchase the tent through us simply give us a call and we will connect you to the warranty department that will help you through the manufacturer. They may require pictures and a copy of your receipt, but they are very good to work with.

A: Unfortunately we do not. The only model where there is an awning on the front and the back is the screen house which is 10' x 14'. It does not include the floor, however, so it is not really considered a tent.

Q: How many people can comfortably fit into this tent? How many maximum?

A: I am sure you can fit more than 6 if everyone was smaller and not taking up much space in sleeping. The opposite would also be true. If people were occupying a lot of space, you would not be able to fit 6 people. A better way to possibly get at an answer to this question is to look at the square footage and layout of the tent and map out where each person would be sleeping and how much space they would be occupying. That will give you an idea of the occupancy you would be able to reach.

10 x 10 tent
Set up tent for the first time recently on a camping trip and found it to be pretty easy. We had high winds (~40 mph gusts) during the trip and the tent held up well. It never seemed like it was going to come down. It was also in the mid to upper 20's in temp and with a Mr. Buddy heater the tent stayed very comfortable. Highly recommend

great tent, i have bought a 9x12 cabin tent it is also a nice tent,but getting hard to put up now that i am 71. so this 10x10 flex bow will be much easer to set up by myself.kodiak tents never failed me yet.very good tents.

first trip
Got the 10x10 Vx Kodiak tent last month. Great tent. Have owned 4 other tents. Just got back from 10 days camping on northern great plains (WY). Rained 5 night, tent was bone dry. High winds 50+ gust, no problem. 78 years old, took me about 50 minutes to set up.Very good tent, great value.
