Q: Can this work for slightly larger tents?

A: Absolutely. It can work for smaller or larger tents. Just keep in mind that it will not completely cover the entire bottom of a larger tent and you may need to folded under if you are using a smaller tent.

if you are making the investment in the tent this is a no brainier. On another note, I would like to thank Competitive Edge for a great buying experience. This vendor has it together in every way. Great floor protection
Well, I just left a review for another product. But, what can I say. Another 5 stars in my book. Again fast shipping and great customer service. The ground tarp is really what the doctor ordered. Liked the ideal of it being the same size as our tent. Makes it easy to move around on the ground to determine where to set up the tent. Looks to be well made and very happy with it.

Kodiak Canvas Tent 6-8 People
Text 6044, when we received the tent I immediately put it up in our front yard because we were expecting severe rain storms. Thought what a good text to see if it leaked or water gets in. I was pleased that that did not happen after a week of off and on again rain. My only disappointment was the overhead canvas at the door. Your picture shows a nice taught canvas, however, it does not remain that way. Had to put it down because it bowed in the center and pooled water. Will have to figure something to do with that. This tent was actually cooler inside then the previous tent we had used for 10 years. Looking forward to camping.

Specifically designed as a underfloor tarp
As another reviewer mentioned, there is no bound edge on this tarp. No grommets, either. But this is really a tarp with a single purpose: to be used under a tent floor. So grommets would be superfluous. The 10 mil thick material seems substantial, yet not overly weighty. Apparently no edge binding is necessary with this material, as it doesn''t seem likely to fray easily. I even e-mailed Kodiak regarding this, as Id like to cut it slightly smaller. They told me that I could do this without fear of the edge fraying afterwards. I am only giving it 4 stars as Id prefer it to be about 6 inches smaller. The reason? As currently cut it comes to the very edge of the Kodiak 10x14, or even a little beyond. Water dripping down the sides of the tent will therefore land on the tarp, and then get between the top of the tarp and the bottom of the floor, forming puddles under the floor. I have reported this to Kodiak.
