Kodiak Canvas 1579 9x8 Tent Floor Liner

The Kodiak Canvas 1579 adds a 10 oz Hydra-Shield™ cotton canvas layer inside a 9 × 8 foot tent. It sits on top of the existing floor to provide a more comfortable, carpet-like surface for sleeping pads, cots, gear, and bare feet. Perimeter grommets placed about every 24 inches also allow the liner to serve as a general-purpose canvas tarp when used separately.

Floor liner or ground tarp?

This product is primarily an interior floor liner. It belongs inside the tent. A ground tarp or footprint is normally waterproof polyethylene and belongs outside underneath the tent. Choosing the correct product prevents moisture and cleanup problems.

No. For its intended floor-liner use, place it inside on top of the existing floor.

Can it be used as a standalone tarp?

Yes. The perimeter grommets allow separate tarp use, subject to appropriate setup and weather conditions.

How do I avoid mildew?

Never store the liner damp. Clean off debris and let the canvas dry completely before packing it.

Q: What do i use this for?

A: This is designed to be used as a floor liner or type of carpet that goes on top of your tent floor. It is completely optional-a luxury item. Customers really seem to love it. It can also be used as a tarp to keep outside gear dry-it's very heavy canvas.

floor liner
The liner was purchased to use with the 2 man flex tent.We modified the size by having it sewed to feet the tent better.WE use them with our other tent and decided it would be a good addition to the smaller tent

Love to hunt
These are nice canvas tarps. Soft to the touch. I actually bought this for use with the Kodiak 2 man tent. Just gonna fold it to fit. I want to protect my investment as best as I can.
