Meet the newest member of the Kodiak Canvas lineup. The Cabin Lodge tent is where rugged meets refinement. Made with high performance, Hydra-Shield™, 100% cotton duck canvas. The tight weave and silicone finish make this canvas watertight yet breathable, minimizing condensation and mugginess that are common with synthetic tents. The sewn-in floor is a tough 13.5 oz vinyl with welded seams, that keeps water out. The tall ceiling (7.5 ft. at peak) and vertical wall design (4 ft. at sides) provide a roomy interior with stand-up, walk-around comfort. The large front door means no crouching when you come and go. Six large windows provide openness, and excellent airflow. Windows can be opened and closed from inside the tent, and feature no-see-um, screen mesh that keeps the smallest bugs out. A covered storm window and vents can be opened to circulate outside air, even when rainy. The door and windows feature top-rated YKK zippers. This design, boasting a frame with 1-inch, galvanized, steel tubing, will hold up to strong winds and even snow loads. A stove jack allows for use of a wood burning stove, so you can stay warm and cozy. The 8x8 ft. enclosed awning accessory (sold separately) increases the space by 44%, and provides a nice area to get out of the weather or store extra gear. A: You can buy a stove with a 5 inch pipe such as the Colorado Cylinder Spruce model, the Camp Chef Alpine model, or a Cylinder Stove with a 5 inch stove pipe.

Q: Love my Kodiak 10x14 flex bow tent. Questions on the 12x12 cabin tent with enclosed 8x8 awning. Questions are of course what my preference would be. 1. It would be a nice feature if the same set up that's in the front of the tent to put also at the rear of the tent (the 8x8 enclosed awning). Maybe like the 10x14 flex bow tents with a screen door for one of the windows. Would be nice also for an escape route in case of fire. This would be nice area for storage or for a child's playroom. I go weeks at a time camping and hunting and the extra room would be really nice. 2. Yes, it would be nice if there was a 12x12 liner for the tent. However, I would just get the ground tarp 12x12 and put inside the tent. Those are nice and heavy duty anyway. 3. Do you sell the cabin package that the Kodiak web site offers? That comes with a stove. Ground and inside tarps and the 8x8 awning. Thank you, Will.

Q: Does this come with a floor? Or do the I have to add via the options? 10x10 liner does not seem to fit a 12x12 space correctly

A: The 12x12 includes a floor, but they don't make floor liners for the 12x12. The best option is the 10x10 floor liner which leaves 12 inches around the perimeter (a space right next to the walls that you don't walk in normally)

Kodiak 12x12 lodge tent and awning enclosure
I haven't put it through any tests yet but did set it up to check it out it seems like it will be a great tent I'm a 59 year old female and was able to set it up by myself it is heavy and it's a big plus to separate the weight from the poles and stakes the awning enclosure is a little more involved but I like having the extra space for kitchen area

Glamping made simple
Alright so Im an avid camper out here in Colorado and Ive been known through my group to have some of the cooler camping items. Ive been using tentsile tents when applicable and a north face storm breaker when little to no tree coverage is available. While planning longer camping trips I decided I needed something with a bit more space and that will outlast me. I came across the Kodiak 6170 and started doing some research. While I was originally intimidated by the weight and setup of the tent, after a couple of tries I was able to easily setup the tent within 40 mins solo. Thats even more quickly than it took to setup my tentsile tent. To help with weight, I just have the actual canvas tent carried separately and the stakes/poles carried in the original bag that everything came in. Side note: I was never able to figure out how to get both the tent and stakes/poles in the original bag which is why I chose my method of transport. Overall, the 6170 is worth every penny and you can easily tell that the quality of it will last for years and years to come. All I need now is StarLink and Ill be able to just live out in the mountains!

Great tent. First use we survived a heavy Rocky Mountain Thunderstorm one day and the next we had another heavy thunderstorm with 1/2 hail. We had no leeks.
