 1672 Kodiak Canvas Awning Room Add-on for the Kodiak Lodge
This must-have accessory for the new Cabin Lodge tent, will increase your tent’s living space by 43%. Attach just the roof to use as an awning or combine with the side walls to create an 8x8 ft. attached room. The roof and side walls are made with Hydra-Shield™ 100% cotton canvas. Included are six large windows with no-see-um mesh. The windows can be zipped open or shut. A zippered entry provides convenient access. A poly, sod cloth, trim helps seal the bottom perimeter. Package includes roof, side walls, frame, stakes, guy ropes and carry bag.

Q: I have a Kodiak Canvas Truck Bed Tent. I am curious if the Enclosed Awning Accessory room that connects to the Lodge Tent will attach to the Truck Bed Tent? I may be purchasing the 12X12 Cabin Lodge Tent in the near future to establish a hunting base camp and purchase the enclosed awning. Thank you

A: I'm sorry, but it won't work with the truck tent though that's a great idea. I've seen a truck tent where a guy put a stand-alone wall tent right up to it - it looked custom-made. There's also the super six awning you might consider model 2061.

Q: Our first time camping with our lodge tent and Our enclosed is leaking from both sides. Mostly around where the bars meet by the thumb screw. The one side is developing a pool of water on the top edge. What can we do to prevent this?

A: Great question. It CANNOT be used as a stand alone tent. The back wall is the existing tent wall from the 6170. Trying to set it up stand alone it would be missing needed support on the back wall along with the back wall altogether would be wide open.

Q: The Kodiak 6133 is about same size, will this fit that tent? I know it says will not fit any other model but seeing if anyone else has tested this. Awnings for 6133 are all sold out everywhere

Q: I have the 12x9 Cabin tent with attached awning. I know enclosure has it's own awning that zips to its designated tent. However, if I want this canvas enclosure instead of the poly enclosure, the walls on this canvas enclosure would still attach the same way as the walls on the poly enclosure, Velcro the sides on the tent to the walls and the loops would attach to the existing tent awning bars, correct? So effectively, without using the awning that comes with this but using the attached awning on the 12x9 cabin tent, the canvas walls can be used instead of the poly enclosure, correct? Thanks!

A: The wall enclosures are not cross-compatible, if you have the 12x9 model 6133 tent, then you will need the 0650 Wall Enclosure for your tent. the 1672 add-on room only works with the model 6170 tent

Q: I purchased the 12 x 16 tent and the add on 8 x 8 room last month and I absolutely love both of these. I would like to purchase an additional 8 x 8 room for the other end of my tent. When I purchased these together, the room had a significant discount applied. Is it possible to purchase the second room at that same price? This is a good structure to add to the tent. Although, it does have a lot of 'contact points' on the frame that had to be dealt with during set up. I'm sure that I'll get the hang of it, but the first set up easily took as long as the 12x12 tent. I would not recommend doing this for the first time at night or in the wind. Otherwise, it's great!

Quality Tent
The tent is amazing and so is this addition. Allows me more room to keep gear and I think it's worth putting up even if you don't plan on putting up the walls. It gives a sun shade.

A Must Have
The 1672 Awning Room Add-On is a must have for the 6170 Cabin Tent. It functions perfectly as a mud room and a place to store your cooler, tables, chairs, etc. when you are away from your camping area, especially in locations where there is many other people camping. Since it was utilized as a mud room / storage area, we were able to keep the main cabin area clean free of clutter, leaving plenty of space for our queen size air mattress and the Camp Chef Alpine wood burning stove. The awning was relatively easy to erect and seemed pretty solid. The ground stakes are the exact same size for the main cabin, so they are solid and don't have to worry about getting things mixed up. I'm very satisfied with the quality and functionality of the Awning Room Add-On and glad I decided to get it.
