Protect the underside of a compatible 12 × 12 foot Kodiak tent with the Kodiak Canvas 1712 ground tarp. The reinforced 10-mil polyethylene creates a sacrificial barrier between the sewn-in tent floor and abrasive soil, sticks, small stones, mud, and damp ground. Corner stake loops help keep the footprint aligned during setup.
Center the tarp beneath the tent and make sure no material extends beyond the tent walls. Exposed tarp edges can collect rain and direct water beneath the floor. This product is intended for compatible 12 × 12 Kodiak layouts; confirm the model and footprint dimensions of your tent before ordering.
No. A ground tarp goes outside underneath the tent. An interior floor liner goes inside on top of the tent floor.
It adds protection but does not replace proper site selection, drainage, or care of the tent’s sewn-in floor.
Remove dirt, allow both sides to dry, and fold the tarp separately so moisture is not trapped against the tent.
